Wild Beasty-things roam the halls at Avatar!!!!!!

Lisa Marucci of the Saint Louis Science Center was in Avatar’s audio studios this week to produce a radio and TV campaign for the upcoming showing of a T. REX NAMED SUE which opens Jan 17. Jim MacMorran was the voiceover artist. You can listen to the spot here.

Avatar raps for Purina

In late December, Checkmark Communications producer CJ Campeau booked Avatar’s Audio1 for some Purina Rap. Hooking up with talent in NYC and LA via ISDN, engineer Jim MacMorran recorded two versions of a 1-minute long rap music for a Purina website, featuring animated “Beggin’ Time” dogs. The music was mixed using MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This” music bed.

30 Pieces of music in 8 weeks!

Through the facilities of Avatar Studios, Engineer/Composer/Sound Designer Jim MacMorran produced 30 original cuts of music for a project being produced at Avatar. The series of workout videos, numbering nearly 250, were shot on Avatar’s sound stage, complete with custom built sets. They were then edited in High Definition on the Final Cut Pro system. The 30 tracks of music, comprised of dance, rock, new-age, ambient, and new-wave, will be rotated under the 250 videos. The videos are being produced for retail sales on the internet.

This past Saturday was the third week for our live broadcast of the Petcentric Cafe. Sponsored by Purina One and produced by the fine friendly folks at Checkmark Communications down at Checkerboard Square, host Warren Eckstein, famed pet psychology expert takes live callers with questions about their pets. The show is broadcast through our facilities at Avatar in St. Louis and airs at noon Saturdays on Sirius 112 (Martha) and XM 103.
If you don’t have Sirius or XM you can listen to prior week’s shows by going to the Petcentric Cafe website.

Surround for CAT!
For a large international manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and a wide offering of related services, we mixed an 11 minute video in Surround Sound for their sales convention display. The sounds included large truck engines and music, mixed in 5.1. The Arbor Group of St. Louis was the production company/directorial group.
