Avatar raps for Purina
In late December, Checkmark Communications producer CJ Campeau booked Avatar’s Audio1 for some Purina Rap. Hooking up with talent in NYC and LA via ISDN, engineer Jim MacMorran recorded two versions of a 1-minute long rap music for a Purina website, featuring animated “Beggin’ Time” dogs. Through the facilities of Avatar Studios, Engineer/Composer/Sound Designer Jim MacMorran produced 30 original cuts of music for a project being produced at Avatar. HGTV chooses Avatar for VO recording.
A new show on HGTV starring George Gray (George also appeared as host in HGTV’s show What’s With That House?) needed new voiceover. George happens to live in St. Louis part of the year, so HGTV booked Audio 1 with Jim MacMorran for an afternoon of VO recording, along with phone patch wtih the show’s director in NYC.
